we didn’t burn him…
We didn't burn him
We might have charred him around the edges
just a bit
Rubbed his precious things together
like boy scouts
or Alean dies
But burning would've required
flames light bright fire even
like a tyger
or a metaphor
And besides, crisped
he'd just be bacon;
not much of a Chancellor
though admittedly more use that way
in a bread cake with
just a splash of Hendo's,
in memoriam of
Sheffield Steel
We only burnt him a lot…
